50-Mark: "He is Risen: Just as He Said."
In Mark 16:1–8, we step into the first morning after the cross—when the Sabbath is past, the grief is still fresh, and faithful women return to the tomb with spices, expecting only death. But God has been at work while the world slept. The stone is already moved. The messenger is already there. And the announcement is as simple as it is world-shattering: “He is risen. He is not here.”
This passage doesn’t just declare the resurrection—it exposes how easily fear can keep us from the place Jesus told us to meet Him. Mark shows us devotion that didn’t expect a miracle, disciples paralyzed by fear, and a gospel that confronts unbelief with divine reality. The law reveals our need, the tomb reveals God’s power, and the risen Christ proves that death does not get the final word.
If you’re a believer, hear the call to trust Christ’s Word over your fear. If you’re a seeker, don’t stay neutral—come to the risen Lord.
