How Online Giving Works
It is important to know that the service provider charges a fee for each transaction ranging from 2-3%. (For example, if you made a donation of $100, Sonrise would actually receive between $97-98). This is a normal arrangement between banking industries and all point of sale or online vendors. As a manner of accountability it is important for us that you understand there is a nominal charge for such a service.
If you do not wish to pay such a service fee you will be unable to give using a debit or credit card. Of course you can still give during the regular offering held on Sunday service.
There is the additional option of setting up automatic bill pay at your own bank or financial institution. You will have to contact your bank for more details.
You can use your regular debit or credit card to give electronically. Most major cards are accepted.
Giving online is done through a secure program, equal to that of transactions paid by card at the supermarket or a bank website.
The first time you give online you will be asked to set up an account which will allow you to easily track all of your contributions. This is an easy process which will only take a couple of minutes. Afterward, you will be able to make a single gift or can set up your account to make regular contributions.
If you have any further questions about online giving or any other alternate giving method, please do not hesitate to contact the church office.
